Meet Madeline!
Hello ProducKIDvity families,
I graduated from the University of Victoria in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care with a specialization in the early years. This degree qualifies me to hold an Early Childhood Educator certification in BC. Later in 2022, I earned my Infant Toddler certification through online courses at Vancouver Island University while working full time.
I have been working in the childcare field for five years. Starting in 2019, I worked as an Auxiliary staff member for the University of British Columbia’s Child Care Services. In the summer of 2020, I moved to Penticton where I was an Early Childhood Educator at two different childcare facilities. Fast forward to March of this year when I moved from Penticton to Kelowna to start working for Produckidvity.
I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC where I lived with my parents and five siblings. If I am not on the soccer field or behind a boat waterskiing or trying to not get lost on various hiking trails then I can often be found cheering on my Vancouver Canucks.
Growing up I always thought I would be a teacher but once I was introduced to the Child and Youth Care degree and early childhood education, I knew that was the right fit for me. I was inspired to work as an educator in a childcare center through my passion for helping others, growing up in a big family, and babysitting for family and friends in high school. The most rewarding part about working with young children is being an integral part in helping and supporting a child’s development and their family’s journey.
