OUR STORY

How it All Started

Our story begins with Alex Carnio, a driven entrepreneur, mother, and problem-solver who refused to accept the outdated notion that parents must choose between their careers and their children.

Like many working parents, Alex struggled to find a childcare solution that truly supported professional ambition. Traditional daycare hours didn’t align with business meetings. The guilt of being torn between work and parenting was constant. And finding a workspace that understood the complexities of parenthood? Nearly impossible.

So, she built her own solution. What started as an ambitious vision became Canada’s first licensed childcare facility designed alongside co-working—a seamless ecosystem where parents can focus on their careers, knowing their children are thriving just steps away.

As the demand for a better work-life model grew, Alex saw an opportunity to expand the mission. Enter Sarah Buettner—an executive leader, fellow mother, and passionate advocate for parents in business. With a shared vision, Sarah joined as a strategic partner and hospitality leader, bringing operational expertise and a deep understanding of the challenges working parents face.

Together, Alex and Sarah are building a national movement, ensuring that more families have access to the balance they deserve.
